Classic design, great material. for me it ran a bit larger so I went 1 size down for a perfect fit. I wish it was offered in more colors.

Quality material, excellent stitching.
I have two pairs of the Barren Shorts. I love them. They are true to size and well made. I wish they had a side pocket for a cell phone, then I would think them to be the perfect shorts. They are great nonetheless. I wear them almost daily. Comfortable and stylish.

My ideal short
These shorts are awesome. The fabric is the perfect balance of thick/rugged material that will last, but also pretty lightweight and has a nice stretch. I had a pair of the Ripstop shorts, loved them, and almost re-purchased the exact same short—but I decided to go for these Barren's instead. I'd say it was a great choice. These are less performance/hike looking, and more of a classic wear-anywhere short. I was a bit worried from the images that these Barren's would be too boxy/wide looking for my size (5' 10," 150lb) but they honestly fit perfectly. My waist is usually a 31 and I bought the 30s—a perfect fit on me. So if you have to choose between going up or down, I'd try down, as it worked for me. Highly recommend these!

The shorts are on par with Walmart board shorts.
These shorts are awful and are not something I expect from your company. They don’t fit, feel, or look good! They feel like you’re wearing a tarp or car cover….! I realize my opinion will never see the site but my comment is in my opinion true.

Did we just become best friends?
Love the look and feel of the short. A functional and stylish utility short. I've only worn them around town, and can't wait to put them to the test in the world - camping, hiking, and just enjoying life.
